Tankogo: Portable Hot Shower

Electric Dual Heating Options

No propane needed! Tankogo features dual heating modes: fast heating with a 1500W 110V AC outlet, or slow-and-steady heating through a 120W 12V DC car socket. It can also be powered by compatible portable power stations or V2L-equipped electric vehicles.

*12V DC heating requires a car power inverter (not included).

1. Charge the Pump Battery

Before heading out, fully charge the pump using the USB-C cable. This allows you to rinse cordlessly once heating is complete.

2. Place Tankogo Securely

Place Tankogo upright on a stable surface, such as the ground or a bench.

Make sure it is not easy to tip over, especially around children or pets.

For convenience, Tankogo can also remain inside a vehicle or trunk during use — simply take the shower head outside to rinse.

3. Fill the Tank

Open the top lid and fill the built-in 15L tank with clean water.

• Use clean water from campgrounds, beaches, or public facilities whenever possible
• You may also use reasonably clean water from rivers or lakes if needed
• For best performance, fill at least half the tank before heating
  

The included 8L refill bag makes topping up easier without moving the unit.

4. Power On Tankogo

Open the protective cover over the display.

Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to activate Tankogo.

5. Plug In and Begin Heating

Connect Tankogo to a proper active power source for heating:

• 110V AC (1500W) for fast heating (household/public outlets, power stations, or V2L-compatible EVs); heats about 10°C every 6 minutes
• 12V DC (120W) via car cigarette lighter with an inverter for slower heating; heats about 10°C every 58 minutes
  

Once turned on and plugged in, heating begins automatically.

• The FIRE icon flashes to indicate heating is in progress
• Heating mode will not start unless a proper power source is connected

6. Monitor Heating Progress

The LCD screen displays real-time water temperature and system status.

7. Built-In Water Level Safety

A built-in sensor continuously monitors the water level.

• Heating will not start if the water level is below the minimum setting
  
• This safety feature prevents dry heating and protects the system
  

For a better user experience, always heat with at least half a tank of water.

8. Unplug and Go Cordless

Once the water reaches your desired temperature, unplug Tankogo.

The built-in rechargeable battery powers the pump, allowing fully cordless showering.

9. Turn On the Pump and Adjust Flow

Turn the Shower Power Knob on the control panel to start water flow.

Adjust the knob to increase or decrease water pressure as needed.

10. Control Water from the Shower Head

• Press the black end of the on-head valve to release water
• Press the red end to stop the flow
  

When the flow is paused, the pump automatically shuts off to conserve battery.

11. Mount for Hands-Free Use (Optional)

Use the showerhead hanger or suction cups to attach to smooth surfaces like vehicles, or hang it wherever works best.

12. Finish, Drain, and Transport

After use:

• Make sure the pump power is OFF
  
• Drain any remaining water from the shower head and hose
  
• Ensure the shower head valve is OFF (red end popped out)
  
• Confirm the tank cap is tightly closed
  

Tankogo can be transported and stored upright or horizontally, but always secure it properly inside a vehicle to prevent movement while driving.

1. Does Tankogo need to be plugged in to work?

Tankogo only needs to be plugged in to heat the water.

Once the water reaches your desired temperature, you can unplug it and use the shower fully cordless, powered by the built-in rechargeable battery.

2. How long does it take to heat the water?

Heating time depends on the power source:

• 1500W AC: heats approximately 10°C every 6 minutes
• 120W DC: heats approximately 10°C every 58 minutes

3. How long does the battery last?

A fully charged battery can power spraying up to:

• 18 tanks (72 gal / 270 L) in high-flow mode
• 10 tanks (40 gal / 150 L) in low-flow mode

Battery life depends on flow setting and usage.

4. Can I use seawater, muddy water, or dirty water?

No. Do not use seawater, muddy water, or heavily dirty water.

Salt, debris, and dirt can damage the heating elements and pump. Using these water types will void the warranty.

Tankogo is designed for:

• Clean water from faucets at campgrounds, beaches, or public facilities
• Reasonably clean freshwater from rivers or lakes when necessary

5. Can I add soap, shampoo, or fragrances to the tank?

No. Do not add soap, fragrance, or any chemicals to the water tank.
Doing so can damage internal components and will void the warranty.
If you need soap, apply it externally and rinse using clean water only.

6. Can I submerge Tankogo in water to fill it?

No. Do not immerse Tankogo partially or fully in water.

To fill the tank:

• Use a faucet directly, or
• Use a hose to guide water into the tank, or
• Use the included 10L collapsible refill bag to carry water from a river, lake, or hard-to-reach source

7. What temperatures can Tankogo operate in?

Tankogo is designed to operate between 2°C and 65°C (35°F–149°F).

Avoid:

• Operating outside this temperature range
• Leaving Tankogo in direct hot sun for extended periods

Prolonged exposure above 49°C / 120°F may damage the lithium battery and could pose a safety risk.

8. Can I pour boiling water into the tank?

No. Never pour boiling water into the tank.
Tankogo is designed to heat water internally and safely.

9. Can Tankogo freeze?

No. Do not leave Tankogo frozen.
Freezing temperatures can damage the pump, hose, and internal components.

10. What is the pressure release valve and why is it important?

Tankogo includes a pressure release valve built into the tank cap.

This valve regulates internal pressure as water is pumped out, preventing the tank from cracking or collapsing.

Important care notes:

• Do not cover the cap
• Do not block the valve
• Clean the cap and valve if dirt or debris builds up

Blocking the valve can cause damage to the tank.

11. Why is the water not heating?

Tankogo will only heat water when it is connected to a proper, active power source.

Heating will not start or will stop if:

• The unit is not plugged in to a compatible power source
• The water level is below the minimum setting
• The sensor detects that the heating element is no longer immersed in water (for example, if the tank is tipped or the water level drops)
  

When heating stops, the FIRE icon on the LCD screen will turn off, indicating that heating has ceased.

For best results, make sure Tankogo is upright and filled with at least half a tank of water before heating.

12. Why is the water pump not working?

There are a few common reasons the pump may not be running:

• Heating Mode is active: When Tankogo is plugged in and heating, the pump is automatically disabled to prevent unnecessary water use. Unplug the unit after heating to enable the pump.
• Battery is not charged: Make sure Tankogo has been charged via USB-C before use.
• System is not powered on: Ensure Tankogo is turned on by pressing and holding the power button for 2 seconds.
• Water pressure dial is not turned on: Turn the water pressure dial up on the control panel.
• Shower head valve is closed:
  Press the black side of the button on the shower head to release water.
  Press the red side to stop the flow.
